This is a small magazine, not a sales floor. We read every letter; we don't operate a phone bank. Replies come from the editor and tend to take a day or two.

For practical questions about a particular house in the Las Vegas valley, include the orientation of the windows in question and a rough year of build. We can usually point at the right Glossary entry, or, if the question is interesting, save it for a future Letters column.

We don't keep a quote form. We don't keep a phone tree. If a particular installation is too specific to discuss editorially, we'll tell you which contractor in the valley does that work well, and step out of the way.
